AnswerGalaxy is a paid Question & Answer audio service where you learn knowledge and discover amazing stories from celebrities, internet influencers, professionals, experts and more. As a solo designer, I worked with a seven-person team including developers, marketing specialist, product manager. The project stretched me to wear multiple hats and do my job creatively. When I joined the project, there were only sketches on the back of a napkin. It's a pure pleasure to build up an app from nothing to having first 300 users. I leaned on knowledge of UXD design and all product design I've ever absorbed to build a product that is a perfect roll-up of my cross-discipline skills.
Unlike working for big corp, the business, tech and experience goals are clear and ready to go. In the startup, as a solo designer, I have to step up and use whatever we have to identify any possible UX requirements myself. To better understand our customer's pain points, I decided to do some field research through a rough mockup.
In the meantime, I wore my visual designer hat. Started playing visual elements, to give our small team a unique identity to represent us.
